Green Tourism Business Scheme Scotland's countryside is green and fresh and nowadays many of Scotland's tourism businesses are "going for green" by joining the Visit Scotland's Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS). The GTBS encourages accommodation of all kinds as well as visitor attractions and others to protect the environment by being energy efficient, minimising waste and by buying local produce. And of course, telling their guests about the wildlife and nature, which they can enjoy nearby. From bed and breakfast on the Orkney Islands to hotels in Edinburgh, from Iona Abbey to Kilmartin Glen, Scotland's holiday tourism businesses are now working to protect Scotland's wonderful landscape. All of them display the GTBS sign.
